November Blessings!

November was full of scout campouts, family reunions, Battle of the Books, reports and lots of fun! Not to mention Thanksgiving. Here is how our November went:

Taylor completed his first competition for Battle of the Books. John was able to make it since I was unable to.

Eagle Project

It is exciting when your son reaches the stage when he can complete his Eagle Project. It is even better when he is still fairly young and wants to complete it. Jonathan decided to contact the City of Mesa and spray paint curb addresses. He lucked out and was able to get the neighborhoods that are our ward boundaries as well.

We have been preparing for this for the last two months. He had sign up sheets, supplies and everything purchased. We made the templates and he had training classes for adults. He did a great job organizing the entire thing.

A week before it was to happen, we started to get rain. I am not talking a little drizzle or even the normal Arizona rainstorm. We are talking rare 100 year storms. Here is what our front yard looked like after one of them:

Last 3 Weeks of September Minus Eagle Project

So I know I am way behind with blogging. I need to break this up a little though. We have been busy with Jonathan's Eagle Project, Fall Break, State Fair and school. Add on top of that work, every day life and not feeling well and that is pretty much our life.

Rebecca had a hard couple weeks with mommy separation and pre-school. I think it was harder on mommy though than her. She is doing better now, but she still asks if I can go to pre-school with her.

Back in the Swing of Things...

With the boys back in school, we are back to a routine which is nice. That also leaves lots of time with this adorable little girl!

Scout Camp 2014

This year both Jonathan & Taylor were able to go to scout camp. They went to Camp Raymond which is near Flagstaff. John went up the first two days and then ironically my brother's troop was up there the same week and so they got to see their uncle the last two days! Here is their troop:

Picture Catch Up Post

Yes, it has been a little while since I last did an update. Since it is summer, things are more laid back and repetitive, so not much going on. Here are some pictures for the month.

Rebecca's birthday. I caught her playing the piano and singing before church.

Bathroom Remodel Days Part 1

We are in the middle of a bathroom remodel right now! I realized early into this that I am not a last minute person. I like to plan things, and have my daily schedule. Doing this remodel on the fly and having workers in and out all day has been stressful on my body. If you did not read why we are having this bathroom remodel done, you can do so here.

Life does go on however, so here is what our family is up to.

John took the scouts that had not completed their rifle merit badge shooting. Taylor was able to go along and did well. So proud of this boy!

We Can Do Hard Things! (and survive)

I can tell the end of the school year is here! We have a lot going on right now. Let's start with the Spring Sing!!! I played for the 1st & 2nd graders so I was able to watch the rest of my children perform. Taylor said, "As much as I hate to admit it, those Kindergartners are the cutest!" I have to agree. Here is our little Kindergartner:

Last Day of Summer Vacation!

Yes...tomorrow is the day that most mom's look forward to - the first day of school!  Today we went and met the boys teachers.  I think they all are going to have a great year!  I am looking forward to seeing how they grow and learn over the year.

After meet the teacher, I surprised the boys by taking them to the AZ Natural History Museum.  This is the only place they wanted to go all summer long.  We of course pick an insanely hot day to go.  It was over 110 by the time we got there at 11am!
